The Olmec colossal heads number 1 at La Venta, Mexico, is a monumental stone representation of human head sculpted from large basalt boulders.

The head date from at least before 900 BC and are a distinctive feature of the Olmec civilization of ancient Mesoamerica. All portray mature men with fleshy cheeks, flat noses, and slightly crossed eyes.

The goal of the survey was to preserve some examples of the Toltec architecture. The big head was virtualised and added to a virtual space, in low and high resolution. Beside the operation, some technical analysis have been conducted to extract singularities from the head.
